Microwave special aata ladoo recipe – step by step presentation of wheat flour sweet dessert recipe. Aata ladoos are very popular sweet in North India. Most of the families made these ladoos during festivals.
Ladoos are my favorite since childhood. I remember my grandmother used to make delicious, full of ghee ladoos for me and my siblings. That time I was not aware about the hard work goes into making ladoo, so every now and then I used to ask for ladoos. Seriously ladoo or any roasting involve sweet recipe takes lots of time and hand moment. That makes it process a bit tiring and bore.
These days most of the younger generation or working people avoid making flour ladoos due to the long time taking procedure. They end up buying these ladoos from the market and miss that homely touch and healthy part of the ladoos.
Today, I got a solution for the long aata ladoo procedure. I cut down the whole time, 40 minutes to less than 10 minutes. I used the magic tool named microwave. Trust me, the taste of aate ladoo is same as cooked on gas. I have used raisin and cardamom for additional flavors. These 10 minute aata ladoos are a big hit among my family and friends.

Ingredients for making Microwave special aata ladoo
Wheat flour (Gehu ka aata) – 2 cups
Ghee – ¾ cup
Sugar Powder – 1 ¼ cup or little less
Cardamom (elichi) powder – ¼ tea spoon
Raisin (Kismis) – ¼ cup
Basic preparation for making Microwave special aata ladoo recipe
- Sieve wheat flour with the help of flour strainer and collect in a microwave safe medium size bowl.
Method for making Microwave special aata ladoo recipe
Step 1: Put the flour bowl in microwave and cook for 1 minute in microwave mode. Bring it out and mix well using a spoon.
Step 2: Repeat this process total 3 times (Bring out the bowl and stir well and put again in microwave for 1 minute).
Step 3: Now add ½ cup ghee in wheat flour and mix well using the same spoon. Place in microwave again for 1 minute and bring it out.
Step 4: Add left ghee and roast for 1 more minute. Now add sugar power powder and cardamom powder and mix well. Place in microwave and again cook for 1 minute.
Step 4: Now add rainsin and mix well.
Let the mixture cool little bit and the start, making ladoos using your palm. You can take 2 table spoon flour mixture in your palm or according to your comfortability. Give little pressure on your palm to make round ladoos. You can use other palm also for perfection.
Microwave special aata ladoos are ready. Keep aata ladoos at room temperature for cooling completely and keep it in an airtight jar or container. Enjoy this festival season with instant homemade aata ladoos.
Few useful tips for Microwave special aata ladoo recipe
- Always use microwave safe bowl for cooking in microwave. Microwave safe Glass bowl is a good option.
- I just placed the flour bowl inside the microwave, then pressed microwave option and then 1 minute timer and lastly start button. That’s it. The total roasting process will take 6 minutes approx.
- You will notice that after 4 minute flour will change it’s color to whitish to light brown. A fine aroma of roasted flour will also come.
- You can add or reduce ghee according to your requirement but do not let ladoos mixture too dry.
- Do not roast raisin in microwave, it gets burnt quickly.
