Ingredients for Besan Nankhatai Recipe
Gram flour (Besan) – 1 ½ cup
Sugar – ½ cup
Ghee – ½ cup
Cardamom powder – ¼ Tea spoon
Almond (Badam) – 10
Baking powder – 2 pinch
Basic preparation for making Besan Nankhatai Recipe
- In a mixing bowl / plate take besan, sugar powder and baking powder. Mix well. You can use a strainer for better mixing.
- Chop almond into two – three pieces.
- Preheat oven @ 180 degree centigrade.
- Grease a baking tray with ghee.
Method of making Besan Nankhatai Recipe
Step 1: Bring out all mixed well dry ingredients in a mixing plate.
Step 2: Heat ghee in a bowl or small pan. Do not boil; we just want melted luke warm ghee for the Besan Nankhatai recipe.
Step 3: Add ½ of the ghee in the dry mixture and mix well, then add rest of ghee little by little. Mix well to form soft dough.
Step 4: Now divide the dough into equal lemon size balls. Keep the ball on a plain surface and press a little bit from the top. Give a smooth disk like shape using your palms.
Step 5: Make all the Besan Nankhatai disk same way and transfer the nankhatai disk to a greased baking tray and keep an almond piece on it and press slightly.
Step 6: Bake Besan Nankhatai for 15 minutes on oven and bring it out after that. Let it cool at room temperature for 20 – 30 minutes and your delicious Besan Nankhatai are ready to serve.
