Soya Saag is one of the healthiest and easy to digest saag / sabzi. Soya saag is full of vitamins A and C. Soya is full of fiber and it helps our digestive system to work properly. The combination of Soya saag and Potato makes a quick and healthy Aloo Soya Saag / sabzi recipe.
Soya saag can be used with Methi (Fenugreek), Palak (Spinach) for making sabzi / saag. Adding green vegetables in our daily diet makes our bones and digestive system strong.
Today, I am presenting you one more easy and quick sabzi recipe for breakfast. I have used minimum spices as this enhance the real taste of Aloo Soya Sag.
Ingredients of Aloo Soya Saag recipe
Soya Saag – 250 grams
Potato – 2 medium size
Cumin seed (Jeera) – ½ Tea Spoon
Salt – according to taste
Oil – 3 table Spoon
Turmeric Powder – ½ Tea Spoon
Coriander Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Yield: 2 – 3 servings
Basic Preparation of Aloo Soya Saag Recipe
- Wash Soya saag with clean water and let it dry.
- Peel potato and wash. Now cut it into small cubes like shape.
Method of making Aloo Soya Saag Recipe
Step 1: Heat oil in a pan or kadai and add cumin seed, fry for ½ minute. Add chopped Potato and saute until becoming bit crispy.
Step 2: Now add salt, Turmeric Powder and Coriander Powder and mix well.
Step 3: Now add chopped Soya Saag and stir well. Let it cook for 5 minutes and then turn off the gas.
Aloo Soya Saag is ready to serve. Enjoy it with fulka with ghee or as a side dish with Dal and Rice. I personally enjoy Aloo Soya Saag with Ajwain Paratha and curd dip.
Few useful tips for Aloo Soya Saag recipe
- Wash carefully Soya Saag as sometimes other unwanted greens are also added in it.
- I prefer using Mustard oil for cooking green vegetables. You can try this for real desi flavor.
- If you wish, add one chopped green chilli for bit spicy taste.
